Do not put any trash outside the cart without calling Pellitteri Waste Systems first (608) 257-4285. Depending on the amount and type of material we will ask for prepayment and will give you special instructions. If it is a small amount you may be able to wait until the next week to fit it in the cart.
Additional carts are available for an annual fee. However we would urge you to make sure that you are recycling as much of your material as possible.
The standard size carts are the 65-gallon trash (dark brown) cart and 95-gallon recycling (blue) cart. Please contact us for options on other sizes.
The carts should be at the street by 6:00am on Wednesday. After your cart is emptied, please remove it from the street that day.
Carts should be as the end of your driveway. The cart should be placed on level ground, and should be at least four feet from any obstacle such as utility poles, mail boxes, trees, and parked cars. The handles of the carts should face your house so that the lid opens properly when being dumped.
Only household trash can be put in your cart. Do not place recyclables, construction materials, demolition, or hazardous materials in your cart.
The automated collection program is not intended to provide this type of service. You have several options. Please call us at (608) 257-4285 for a phone quotation for one of our temporary dumpsters. It is best to arrange for this type of dumpster service prior to beginning the work.
Please call us with details of the quantity and type of item. We have a per item pick-up pricing for Bulky items such as stoves, refrigerators with doors removed, hot-water tanks, furniture and other large household items. We will give you the cost and instructions when you call us.
No. The carts are property of Pellitteri Waste Systems and need to stay at the house.
Please call us at 608-257-4285. The carts are the property of the contractor and we will take care of any normal wear and tear, or damage by our trucks. There is a fee to the resident if the cart is damaged or stolen while in their custody, and not caused by the contractor.
The automated cart dumping process lifts the container upside down and stops with a slight jolt. If the material is wedged tightly the material may not come out. Please put the heavier items in the bottom of the cart and do not compact the material.
